3-D Printer Project
My only "research" was that I measured the size of my phone screen. I wanted a holder that I could prop up and use to charge my phone while still having access to the screen. I had another idea that I wanted to use, however I wasn't sure how well the printer would print it. So, I changed to this simple design, despite not wanting to choose it.
First I designed my phone holder which has charger access through the slot on the side and screen access through the hole in the top.

Next, I uploaded the file to Makerbot and formatted it to go on the printer.
|
Then I uploaded my design to a flash drive and put it into the 3-D printer to start printing.
|
8 hours and 41 minutes later my design is finished printing and I am ready to use it! As you can (sort of) tell by the side the other text did not come out as nice as this side did. The other side is the same.

I learned how to design text and how it will work in the 3-D printer because of how the text on my project turned out. The text going with the way that the printer runs is messed up.
